Danika Mason, Under 19 Team Canada Women’s Rugby
Danika first started playing rugby for Ontario in 2005 and was part of the Under 17 Ontario Women’s Rugby team. This is where she first was introduced to Shanna and the services of Athletic Therapy, which Danika used to help her recover from injuries and prepare for games and practices. Danika has since played for the U19 Ontario Women's Rugby team, as well as the Toronto Irish and Western Mustangs. She has earned the respect of her coaches and teammates on every team she has played on.
After suffering from several shoulder injuries through rugby, Danika has fully recovered with the help of her support team at Active Body Conditioning. With regular Athletic Therapy treatments and a strict rehabilitation regime to follow from Shanna, Danika is back to full health and participation in rugby. Her strength and conditioning was brought to the next level when she started training with Michael twice a week to help her prepare for the approaching 2007 National Rugby Championships in St. Johns, Newfoundland and following that, the team Canada and Western Rugby trials.
Danika is now a 3-time Gold Medal Champion, along with her fellow teammates representing Rugby Ontario. She is a Western Mustang, playing her first year with the varsity rugby team. Most recently, Danika was announced as a member of the 2007-2008 Under 19 Team Canada Women’s Rugby team. She has set out and achieved every goal she made for herself this past year.
Congratulations Danika on all your success - we‘re so proud of you!!
